Growing up in Alaska, Freddy and David found solace in drawing comics together. The harsh, subarctic winters with their endless nights and limited daylight could have been isolating, but their shared passion for storytelling and art helped them cope with the darkness. Instead of feeling cooped up, they channeled their energy into creating vibrant worlds and characters that transported them to brighter, more exciting realms.
As they grew older, their careers took them down different paths, scattering them across the country. Yet, despite the distance, their bond remained strong. They continued to stay in touch, their friendship a testament to the power of shared childhood experiences and the creative connection that had brought them together in the first place.
Fred T. Satterfield
Known affectionately as Freddy to those closest to him, this multifaceted artist has been bursting with creative energy since childhood. His artistic flair has taken many forms over the years, from captivating visual art to mesmerizing music. As a highly acclaimed musician, composer, and producer, Freddy has had the privilege of sharing the stage with some of the industry’s most iconic talents.
Yet, despite his impressive musical credentials, drawing has remained a constant companion throughout his career. Whether he’s designing eye-catching album covers or crafting imaginative children’s books for a prominent Nashville publisher, Freddy’s passion for visual storytelling has always found a way to shine through.
When he’s not in the studio or on stage, Freddy can be found at home in Franklin, Tennessee, surrounded by the love and support of his wife, Brenda.
David Snelson-Smith
David’s passion for comic books ignited at the age of thirteen, when he and Freddy joined forces to create their first collaborative character, “The Pendulum.” This early spark has continued to evolve over the years, with the two friends still developing the story to this day.
As he grew older, David’s career path took a few unexpected turns. He began by serving as a journalist in the Army, where he honed his writing skills and attention to detail. Later, he leveraged his artistic talents in the fields of advertising and newspaper design, using his creativity to craft compelling visuals and tell engaging stories.
However, in a surprising twist, David’s career eventually shifted towards the world of computer software. Despite the change in direction, his artistic roots have remained a constant source of inspiration and influence.
Today, David resides in Southern California with his loving wife, Robin. Though his career has taken many turns, his passion for storytelling and creative expression remains a guiding force in his life.
